Privacy Policy - LeadPipesCheck

What this site collects

LeadPipesCheck does not require an account and does not collect personal information to show you a water system's lead record. The search runs in your browser; what you type is not sent to us. Hosting and analytics infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data - IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps - for security and aggregate traffic measurement, and that data is not used to identify you individually.

Cookies

Analytics cookies may be set to tell repeat visits from new ones. If display advertising from Google AdSense is added, Google may set cookies to serve and personalize ads; see Google's own advertising and privacy policies for how that works.

Advertising and affiliate links

No affiliate relationship is live on this site today. If one goes live - for example a link to a certified filter or a lab test kit - this paragraph and the affected page's disclosure line will say so, and every such link will be marked sponsored. A commission would never change a system's lead figures or its recommendation here.

Third parties

Lead data comes from EPA, a public agency; no personal data is exchanged with it. Hosting is provided by Firebase (Google). No data collected here is sold to third parties.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the limited data described above - for example under California's CCPA/CPRA, other US state privacy laws, or GDPR for EU/UK visitors. These can include the right to know what is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of information for targeted advertising. To make a request, email hello@leadpipescheck.com.

Google's ad-personalization controls are at adssettings.google.com, and industry opt-out tools are listed at optout.aboutads.info.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
